2026-08-05

The Journal of Sustainable Civil Materials and Structures invites submissions for its inaugural issue. The journal provides an international platform for innovative research connecting sustainable material development with the safety, durability, resilience, and whole-life performance of civil infrastructure.

Submissions are invited in, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Low-carbon concrete and alternative binders;
  • Recycled and circular construction materials;
  • Sustainable steel, timber, bamboo, and composite structures;
  • Durability and service-life engineering;
  • Resilient structures and climate-adapted infrastructure;
  • Structural repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation;
  • Life-cycle assessment and whole-life carbon;
  • Design for disassembly and component reuse;
  • Digital twins, artificial intelligence, and structural monitoring;
  • Additive manufacturing and automated construction.

All submissions must demonstrate clear scientific novelty, methodological rigor, and meaningful implications for sustainable civil engineering practice. There is no article processing charge during the journal’s establishment period.
